America's Obituary
60Mr. America, better known as Uncle Sam, succumbed this day after a prolong illness, complicated by soaring, uncontrolled medical expenses amid his inability to secure a prudent professional who could rightly diagnose his rampant, uncontrolled fiscal malady.
Born July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sam was joyously received into the Founders family with much celebration and thanksgiving to Almighty God. Not long after, he received his “baptism of fire” via his country’s Revolutionary War—the “fight for independence.” After much sweat, tears and prayer, he was able to secure his crowning achievement: the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787. This hard won prize was intended to set the course for the rest of his life, but sadly, it was not meant to be.
His first almost 200 years was fraught with much heart-wrenching challenge as he worked his way through the Halls of Freedom, attempting to build upon the foundations of his birth, offering freedom, equality and opportunity for all who sought his shelter, strength and protection. He weathered a gut-wrenching civil war, a debilitating depression, two world wars and the destruction of his financial world. Once beloved by most, he became a laughing stock and reviled former world leader who was disparaged and hated until the day of his death.
While always faced with challenges throughout his life, his personal world started to unravel in 1962 when he rejected God and turned Him out from his educational life experience. Since that time he saw his beloved family fall apart as sexually transmitted diseases, teenage pregnancy, pre-marital sex, pregnancy among the unwed, single parent households, couples living together without marriage, homosexuality, divorce rate, alcohol consumption, illegal drug use and violent crime skyrocket to unprecedented levels among those he loved. Despite counsel to the contrary, he seemed unwilling to stop it. He sat idly by as he watched sexual depravity elevated to a constitutional right.
He closed his eyes and tightened his heart as he approved the murder of over 53 million future family members since 1973 through the gruesome process of abortion.
After several failed attempts he was finally successful at creating the Department of Education in October, 1979 in the hope of improving his family’s education. Regrettably, like many of his efforts, that too failed miserably. Shortly before his death, the National Assessment of Educational Progress U.S. History exam given in 2010 to 30,000 of his children—fourth, eighth and twelfth grade students—revealed that there had been little improvement since 1994 in student knowledge of U.S.history. Among the test results, only 9% of fourth graders could identify a photograph of Abraham Lincoln. Even more ominous was the fact that only 20% of fourth graders; 17% of eighth graders and 12% of twelfth graders were considered to be “proficient” in history. As Spanish born American philosopher, George Santayana, stated a long time ago, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Despondent, Mr. America could not stomach the thought that so many of his progeny were going to repeat his mistakes and failures.
Throughout much of his latter days he became so obsessed with providing for the needs of everyone, that he continually spent far more then he earned and, thus, fell deep into debt, borrowing billions of dollars from anywhere and anyone no matter what the personal cost to him or his family. He had an insatiable appetite for spending what he did not earn or possess; borrowing far beyond what he could ever repay. Thus he “mortgaged” the present and future of his family members, now and to come, creating great personal hardships for most of them.
By May 6, 2011, Mr.America, once known as the richest person in the world saw his personal fortune turn into a staggering $14.32 trillion liability that represented 98% of his income in 2010. Unable to secure his own debt at home he was forced to pledge 32% of his assets to foreigners. He also was forced to sell billions of dollars of his personal assets to those outside his family.
His mounting financial troubles became legendary. Over his lifetime he generously gifted or loaned hundreds of billions of dollars to millions of those outside his family, much of which never produced any reciprocal good will or repayment; and, to the contrary, generated much animosity and hatred toward him.
Trying to recoup some of his loses, he was ill-advised to enter into one-sided trade agreements with those he thought were his friends, only to see more of his wealth drained into foreign coffers.
He was once the overseer of a vast manufacturing empire that in 1965 represented 53% of his total revenues. By 2004, manufacturing output represented only 9% of his income. From 1980 to 2009, over 7.1 million manufacturing jobs were lost in his beloved family, or 38% of all manufacturing jobs. Although he professed to mourn these losses, in reality, he seemed powerless to stop it. Thus, he forever lost one of his greatest revenue sources.
To complicate matters he allowed well over 2,000,000 jobs to be “shipped” abroad since 2000 through outsourcing in an effort to secure cheaper labor and products. He also turned away from his border vigilance, allowing 11.1 million illegal immigrants to live among his family, taking their jobs and benefits. In 2008 alone, 344,000 children were born into families where at least one parent was an illegal immigrant. Many claimed that this further diluted his wealth and increased his debt burden.
Despite his growing indebtedness, he still felt compelled to “police” the world, bringing his personal management style to all. Thus, he established over 700 military bases in over 120 countries before his demise. Many still debate whether he was able to achieve much good in his efforts.
The destruction of his wealth was further enhanced when, in 1971, he decided it was no longer necessary to back his currency with gold and silver. The United States dollar, once the strongest currency in the world was then reduced from a gold and silver backed legal tender to a near worthless Federal Reserve I.O.U. or fiat currency. When he abandoned the gold standard for valuing his currency, the value of the dollar plummeted 97% in the last 40 years of his life.
Once the wealthiest and most respected person in the world, it was anticipated that he would leave a legacy to be admired by all. Instead, he died a pauper, passing on trillions of dollars in debt to his heirs—debt they will never be able to repay—while destroying the family’s cultural identity so they no longer know who they are and what they stand for.
Cash and other asset memorials should be sent directly to those who are celebrating his demise and to whom he owed much.
